Hmm, would SB really call her son Justin or Nicholas (pronounced as Ni-ko-las). It has been a bad few days. Most days, I would just pass out on the bed before bathing cos I was so so mentally and physically tired. Imagine staying up till 2 am and waking up at 7 am......that is a pitiful 5 hours only. :(
And yesterday, I just met the most most rude person ever. RH's associate, this guy who works in CCIC Singapore (China Certification & Inspection Co.) Rh is suppose to engage his company to inspect a set of Bauxite that needs to be loaded on board a ship and to be sent to China.
However, this guy was the most rude person ever. Never do I want to call him again and if not for RH, I would definitely have not called him the second time.
Our conversation went roughly like this but in Mandarin:
Me: Hi, I am calling on behalf of RH. He would like me to find out from you how long it takes to produce the weight certificate from the time of the inspection?
Jerk: Ya, you are calling on behalf of RH ya. He seems to be very urgent on this matter and keeps rushing us but does he actually have the goods? If he does not then don't keep calling us to ask questions.
At this point, I was a bit annoyed as I was wondering why is this guy insulting his customer. Talk about bad customer service but nevertheless I persisted.
Me: Well, the loading is now dependent on his customer. Once the customer says it is ok, they will want to load the goods at speed time. Therefore, RH is calling so often to make sure everything is ready should customer nod.
Jerk: Is RH an inexperienced person? Normally experienced person dun need to ask any questions, If he has the goods then call us back to discuss.
Then he proceeded to inform me of all the required information.
Next phone call......
Me: Hi Mr. Wang, I am calling on behalf of RH. We spoke on the phone previously. RH is in Bintan now and would like you to call him as he has some matters to discuss with you.
Jerk(all the time speaking in a very loud and demanding tone): Why does he want me to call him? What does he want to ask me?
Me: I am not sure, it is best that you call him and speak to him directly.
Jerk: Ask him to call me lah.
Me: He is currently in Bintan so he would like you to call him.
Jerk: Ya, ask him to call me, I am in the office all the time.
Me: It does not take long to make a phone call. Do you not have time to call him?
Jerk: No.
Me: Is it troublesome to make a phone call?
Jerk: No.
Me: Then, could you please call him?
Jerk: But I have lots of things to do.
By this time, I am fuming already. I don't understand why he does not want to call RH.
Me: Ok, I have already informed you that he would like you to call him so its up to you whether you want to call him or not.
Jerk: Ask him to call me lah. You mentioned that he is roaming in Bintan but it is the same whether he calls or I call, he will still get roaming charges. Isn't it?
Me: Ya, but it is cheaper if you call.
Jerk: What does he want to ask me? Is he experienced or not? An experinced businessman only needs to make one phone call to discuss everything.
I am thinking in mind "Even if you believe your customer is inexperienced, you do not say it to them to insult them"
Me: Well, it is up to you whether you want to call him.
Jerk: Miss, I think that your Mandarin is very lousy and you need to improve your Mandarin. You say things that are very agitating.
Me: WHAT? I find your speech agitating.
Jerk: No, I am from China so my language is very proper and polite. So, I just call this number?
Me: Ya, thanks.
And I proceeded to put down the phone. Well, I REALLY do not think that I have been rude to the guy. Had the guy not been complaining and insulting his customers, I might have been more polite to him. No one has ever said that I had bad mandarin and that I am rude. I absolutely can't believe he said that he was polite and proper just because he is from China.
I seriously do not think that it is considered proper and polite to insult your customers no matter what country you are in. And so that 5 minute conversation totally put me in a bad mood the whole day.
Another thing happened. My precious Maroon Honda CRV is gone today. Yup, Dad sold it BEFORE the new car arrives. I just lost my mode of transport. The new car is only coming end of FEB. Dear Dear, what am I gonna do?
Anyways, its not really the loss of transport. I was actually quite sentimental about the car having driven it almost everyday for the past 2 years....it was a relatively good car and I love that it was so so spacious.
Anyways, I managed to take a few shots of the car before it is gone forever.

Side View. Its not really my car lah! Dad bought it but I am the primary user of this car.

Back View, its a year 2000 Honda CRV so the back looks kinda old. The new one has a flatter back which makes it not so rugged looking.

Front view.......bye bye car!
Guess what car my Dad is replacing the CRV with?

Only car freaks would have guessed it. Well, at least u all know its another Honda from the logo in front......

Now, can you guess it? Yup, he bought the new 2006 Honda Civic. In the exact same colour as the picture above. Its suppose to be bigger than the old Civic but definitely smaller than the CRV which makes me feel like he downgraded my car.......booo hooooo!
