Long time no post!

Long time no post! Yeah! I have been ultra busy this week. I have Alpha Intro Dinner on Tue, Dinner with Ronny's friend on Wed, Bible Thurs and the list continues.

Not to mention nursing back a sprained back. It is no joke, I tell you! Obviously, there was not a 2nd attempt to sneak into my new place. Just wanted to say that me and RH have decided on our new car. It shall be the Honda Civic.

Our options were:

1. Mazda 3
2. Mitsubishi Outlander
3. Subaru Forrester
4. Hyundai Tucson
5. Kia Sportster

Yep, we really can't decide between a cheaper and not so good SUV or a good sedan. In the end, the sedan won because RH likes sedan and the new civic is really NEW. Hehehe! Bad news is, COE just increased and the car (due to overwhelming orders) is only coming in Aug.

PS: For those who intends to watch "Final Destination 3", please do not, the show is horrible.

Operation Sneak In FAILED!

Yep, there was something that we did not plan for last night! A security guard. Yeah, he was totally not physically there last time we tried to sneak in. We tried to tiptoe our way into the area but was unceremoniously caught by the SG.

Look at picture above! The pink dot is me, blue dot is RH and black dot is Security Guard (SG). SG was initially facing the left side and standing slight on the left side of the guard house.

However, he must have heard our loud flip flops "flipping and flopping" away and thus called us back before we even reached our destinations.

He even gave us a lecture on how the whole place is filled with video cameras and if we are caught on camera and the developers see it, he will get into trouble. He also told us to get a letter from the developers to gain permission for entry into building. AH????? Argghhh! Should totally have brought my camera in the last time. Anyways, there will a be another try.

New Apartment

My new apartment is basically completed save for the TOP certificate from the government. The horrid part is, the condo that is blocking our side is also almost done. They are really really fast! It was nothing 2 months ago and it is almost completely done now.

Anyways, me and RH were taking a walk there after dinner on V-day and suddenly, I see no guards at the entrance to the new building and the gates were like wide open. So, me and RH actually went in and toured the place but because I totally did not expect we could go in, I sis not bring my camera. (and also because RH said that we cannot see anything at night! I totally blame him!)

Anyways, gonna try to sneak in with proper gear tonight:

1. Camera
2. Torchlights (cos there are no lights inside the apt)
3. Measuring Tape (to measure the apt)
4. Floorplan (to jot down measurements)
5. Pencil (to write with of course)

Will update you all tomorrow whether it worked.

My Scrooge

Remember what I called RH yesterday? Scrooge......funny thing is he does not who is scrooge. It is no fun if you are calling someone names and that person just do not know what you are referring to. Yep, Indo is quite horrible, they do not have Scrooge McDuck cartoons thus the lack of recognition from RH.

Anyways, I have decided to stop calling him that. No, not because he dunno who Scrooge McDuck is (well, its part of the reason) but because he is no longer a scrooge. he bought me flowers yesterday for V-day! Ain't that sweet? Totally did not expect him to give me flowers but I guessed I wronged him. Sorry, Babi!

I know, I know, its a "wanna make you puke" picture but he had to have proof that he bought me flowers. Hehehe!

**********

Anyways, yesterday was V-day but since me & RH celebrated our V-day on Saturday, we decided to have dinner with SY, my third sister, who FINALLY came back from Bali. I thought she had so much fun in Bali that she decided to migrate there or something and leave all her stuff at home for me to ransack and take for myself. Yeah right, I wished! Well, its a good thing she came back cos my brother, XD, was totally taking her room as his own and stinking up the whole place.

Oh well, back to dinner. We decided to go to Hong Kong Cafe which is a 7 mins walk from my house. Because we did not feel like hitting any romantic restaurants that had V-day couples smothering each other and we did not feel like taking our car somewhere far and having to park the car. The cafe actually had some decent stuff but be careful, not everything on the menu is nice.

It is also very crowded with youngsters on the weekends. Apparently, it opens till 4 am in the morning and that is the reason its crowded. I took some pictures of the food to practise again and to show you of course.

{Shanghai Chicken & Pork Rice or something}

{Hong Kong Cheese Baked Rice}

{My sister, SY, and her Curry Chicken Rice}

{Close up of her Curry chicken Rice}

And if you ever want to eat there, here is the address:

Hong Kong Cafe
378/380 East Coast Road
Singapore 428985
Tel: 64403808
Opening Hours: Mon - Sat 6 pm - 5 am Sun & PH 12 pm - 5 am

By the way, I used RH's Olympus camera for the photos. His camera produces way better "non-flash" pictures. Not the best but way better than mine. So remember, when you choose digital cameras, DO NOT buy Konica Minolta. Its cute, its small but it totally does not do a good job plus it does not have many functions. So, I have decided to confiscate RH's camera for now and use it for my own purposes. Hehehe. :)

V-Day!

Good Morning! It's V-Day today. A chance for flower and chocolate companies to make lots and lots of $$$. No flowers for me this year because my scrooge treated me to expensive V-day Dinner. I think he can only mange expensive dinner OR flowers each year. :(

Oh well, I am even more scrooge than him this year. My excuse being, I don't know what to buy for him and I don't have time lah. But I did make a handmade V-day card for him. Practising my scrapbook skills at the same time.

Front Page! I think the wordings are a bit slanted but hey, this is HANDMADE ok!! Better than store bought mah. (Yah right!)

Inside view! Managed to find a mini picture of me & RH at the last minute. Its actually a leftover from the photos I developed for his 2004 Christmas Present. Hee Hee, he does not know this.

Matching Envelope! Good thing about customization, you get to have matching envelopes.

I think that RH was quite touched lah. He kept asking me how I did this and how I did that and all. So, for all you gals out there who does not know what to give (or just wanna save some money lah) can make V-day cards for your loved ones.

On Sunday, we went to church and had lunch at Killiney Kopitiam. So here are some pictures to show. Actually, I just wanted to practise taking pictures of my food. Still find it weird and paisei to do that. I am afraid people will think I am crazy.

People: Eh, look! That girl taking pictures of her food leh......what is so nice about taking pictures of food? So suaku......

Then followed by big loud laugh WAHAHAHAHA!

I will be so embaressed! But I have to pick up the courage to do so for the sake of my blog. But no one reads your blog, duh! Ya, but I do and I wanna see the pictures as memories too. Aiya, some people just do not have any sentimental feelings.

Killiney Kopitiam. Curry Chicken and Kaya Toast. Wow, their curry chicken is quite shiok. Very thick and spicy curry. I don't wanna imagine how much coconut milk they used. It was quite delicious and there were many people who ordered that.

**********

Sunday was Yuan Xiao Jie (last day of CNY) or some people know it as Chinese Valentine's Day. As usual, my parents invited a whole bunch of people to their home for dinner. Mom was busy preparing food as usual and I managed to get a few shots of the preparation process. Sorry, I don't have recipes. Forgot to get it from Mom. Hopefully, I will be able to post the recipes and pictures together next year.

{Pork wrapped in fish}

{and Pork with Yam....}

Later that night, I decided to catch up on my beauty routine by masking my face and soaking my feet. Guess what? RH decided to do the same thing except he can't use my mask because his face got lots of acne and stuff so I am afraid that my mask will clog his pores further so I recommended him the pore cleaning Japanese Charcoal Mask I bought in Daiso.

Trying to act cute by holding my doll. Hey mister, it does not make you any less scary. Actually, it reminds me of this chimmney character that my aunts used to tell me about when I was younger. He was suppose to be a nemesis of Santa Claus. Funny right, in Indonesia, there is a Santa Claus nemesis. Hahahaha!

Chinese New Year

Sorry! Was trying to upload my pics when something went wrong with blogspot and I was unable to upload pictures no more. Gonna try it now. Hopefully, I am able to upload.

Hurray! Its a success!
This is the children's table, or rather semi-adults.....the "old" people can't seem to get over their minds that we are not children anymore.
{Cheers to the New Year!}
{My cousins....... }

Family picture! Notice Alpha (the Golden Retriver) at the right hand side.
Year of the Dog mah!
{Collecting Ang Bao......look at the long line. Hehehe!}
{Now adays, we add a kiss for the Ang Bao.....}

Vegetarian food.....our traditional Mi Sua, fake pig, fake fish and you tiao! Everythign is fake. Also, in our family, in addition to eating noodles, we have to eat a bowl of rice but we are not suppose to finish anything to signify that our bowl or money will never be empty......
There are lots of other traditions too like we are not suppose to utilize any sharp objects during 1st day of CNY, no washing of hair (luckily still can bathe), no sweeping, etc....
{Nathan, stop looking at your Ang Bao, let me take that away..... }

{Much better!}

{Old, Oops, "Elderly" James Bond}

***************

Where should I continue my story. Well, on Saturday, RH surprised me with a Valentine's Day dinner. Yep, was so worried that he would foget and be lazy and just not celebrate V'Day. Hehehe, although I guesed it before we even step into the restaurant but it was good effort on his part. Thanks Honey!

Anyways, he brought me to Lawry's at Paragon.....hee hee! Was so happy! You might think "cheh, Lawry's only mah". Hey, but you gotta remember that the BIGGEST scrooge on earth brought me to Lawry's. And all this time, I thought that he loved $$$ more than me. Sorry, dear!

It was my first time at Lawry's although I had heard lots of good reviews about it. (I know, I am suaku, mountain turtle, watever!!!) We had the pre V'Day set dinner. Lawry's had a V'day set dinner and a pre V'day set dinner. The dinner was nice but one suggestion to make for Lawry's. Try to decorate the table for V'day couples, please. It would really add a nice touch.

I don't have many pictures to share because my camera ran out of battery so I started to take it out on RH. My battery did not even last till the main course and it kinda just died after I took RH's pics so there was not even a pic of ME. *sobbing*

ME: My camera is out of battery. You lah, did not tell me we were gonna celebrate V'day today so I can charge my batt mah.
RH: How to? Its a surprise mah.
ME: Well, the surprise should have included a camera too. Why didn't you bring your camera?
RH: *no more comments, how to refute his smart GF?*

Yup, my logic is just so perfect! Hee Hee. he really should have brought a camera too. Anyways, pictures below, limited pictures anyways.

Appetiser, some scallop on half shell......hehehe, should have taken picture of the menu. Plus, V'day dinner does not have to be eaten by couples. I saw a family of 5 having the V'day set too.

They had special mineral water instead of the usual tap waer. You can choose still water or sparkling and we chose the still water. Cost $6.50 per bottle. Really some very expensive water.

RH, enjoying his very expensive water.....

Post Chinese New Year

Today, I am going to post some post-dated CNY pictures! I did not have time to post them during CNY. Anyways, this year's CNY is my last year to get Ang Bao! I gotta start giving out AB next year...... :( My bank account is gonna be - and not + unless I can get a baby in 7 mths. Hahahaha!

Anyways, seeing that this year is my last year of AB gathering, SB gave me a larger than normal AB. Hehehe! Thanks sis, you are the best! This year's "shou huo" is not bad, a low 4 digit figure!!!

Ok, now for photos.
{Chinese New Year Feast!}
They are all vegetarian food though. In my family, it is a tradition to be a half day vegetarian on the first day of CNY.
{FS and Family........ZH is missing......}
{There he is, looking for his Ang Bao!}
{Look at how much NH has grown. He is still my favorite Bak Bao!}
{What is CNY without oranges?}

Complain Blog

I do not know what to blog about! Just feeling rather bored at work. The new Civic is not here and the old CRV is gone. Dear dear, I thought I had a chance to use the Lexus before Dad came back but noooooooo....... the Toyota had to be sent for repairs which means that there is only 1 car at home and the chauffer gets priority just because of the number of people benefitting from his chauffering and plus, we do not wanna pay him for doing nothing.

I had to catch rides from everyone to work these few days and nothing to do at the office because I am not able to visit customers without a car. Dang! Then, as the Toyota got back yesterday, Mom and Dad came home an dthey are 2nd priority being the owners of the cars.....

So, this prompted me to whine!

ME: "Wheeeeeennnnnnnnn is the new caaaarrrrrr coming?" (with ferocious winds as background sounds!

I tried to make myslef busy these few days, making up the wedding photo lists that my WP (wedding planner) asked for but alas, I can only make the list for my side of the family and even that, I needed to seek the advice of Mom. There are just too many people. Oh, that reminds me, might as well do one for the Singapore party except that it will probably be done table-wise. You know where the bride & groom walks from table to table and takes pictures with everyone.

Also, I decided to make a soft copy of the schedule that my WP has given me. Why not just ask him for the soft copy you say? Well, I tried twice and he did not send it to me. There is really something wrong with the email in Sby. Its impossible.

My wedding day schedule. You would need Bionic eyes to read it. But right at the top of teh schedule says that I need to start my make up at 3 am. *horrified*

Decided to enlarge it for your viewing.

Anyways, notice the full day events. RH says that he is tired just by looking at the schedule. Meanwhile, I need to also find out where to buy ampoules for our Indo photoshoot in March. The MUA in Indo do not use ampoules. Judging by RH and my complexion, we definitely need it. Anyways, the PS has been confirmed on the 20th March. I will be attending my God-brother's wedding on the 18th, followed by my Dad's cousin's wedding on the 19th and finally PS on the 20th. That is a full 3 days of heavy make up and I get to test make up for the shortlisted MUA on 18th & 19th.

Muah Muah Muah!

Wanted to post a picture of my wedding invite design but I forgot where I have placed it. Too Bad! I will do it another day. I was scheduling when I needed to go for eyelash curling and upper lip waxing on my outlook yesterday and I discovered something horrible. My FIL (father-in-law)'s birthday is NOT on the 18th of June. Rather, it is on the 16th June. So, I was fuming mad because then why would my MIL (mother-in-law) insist that we change the wedding date to 18th June when it is NOT my FIL's birthday? Well, today I felt better though. No point bringing it all up and God tells me to take it easy and be thankful IN all situations.

Yup, DC, one of my small group members reminded us on Tuesday's session that God tells us to be thankful IN all situations and not be thankful FOR all situations. Isn't it amazing how a single word can change our perspectives?

Milan

RH finally got around to scanning in the 6 extra photo shoot pictures from Milan so there they are below. The pictures are not edited yet so there are lots of "boo boo". Well, we can't help being non models.

I got the doll from Centerpoint Shopping Centre from the second day me & RH got together. The bride doll is a sheep. See my previous post.

Chinese costume. Got the flower myself. Was suppose to match it to my red EG cos I thought the MUA would not provide as that was an additional outfit.

Night Scene at Boat Quay. This picture has another two pieces in series. Really nice but we had to give it up in preference to other pictures.

I love this pic!

This pic is of my EG. The album will not contain any pictures of me wearing this EG.

At Yacht Club! Notice that my ugly slippers showed. I did not think that it would.

I went back to Indo to settle my wedding invitation right? But ended up visting the Decoration people, my wedding planner and also the photographer once again. My wedding date has been moved to June 18th instead of May 6th cos my MIL insisted that she wants to celebrate it together with RH's Dad's birthday which happens to be on that day.

Urgh! Had a big fight with her on the wedding date. She wanted to postpone it too 1.5 mths later. Anyways, when I went back this time, it turns out that there are 4 other weddings from RH's family that coincides with my wedding date which means that there will probably be very little show from their side of the tables.

And now, I receive news that my sister might not be able to attend the wedding because there is a clash with her class schedule. Jeez......

I have decided that my theme for the wedding will be forest decoration and also Bossa Nova Jazz for the songs but alas, I think that my in laws disagree on everythign so I will probably not have any of those anyways.

Also, my wedding gown is gonna be a Vera Wang rip off. Hehehe! My Dad's best friend's daughter is a wedding gown designer and she design my wedding gown to be like one of Vera Wang's design. I went for the gown fitting and the dress was pretty even though it was only half done. I wanted it to be a surprise for RH so I was very angry when he peeked out of the curtain when I was fitting the gown. Anyways, he even forgot to take pics. Double URGH!

HE is Here!

Forget about the countdown! My parents have officially earned the title of "Grandparents". Yooo Hooo...... SB has finally given nbirth to her first son named.... (drumroll)......JUSTIN P. Yep, they have decided to name it Justin in favor of Nicholas. So, its now an Ah beng instead of a Vampire.
I am gonna start calling my nephew Ah beng. My FIRST nephew. Well, my first real nephew not counting my cousin's kids. Hee Hee!
Name: Justin Prasadja
Birthdate: 31st Jan 2006
Chinese Birthdate: 3rd Jan (Dog Year)
Weight: 3 kg
Length: 49 cm
Anyways, it was an early surprise. A full 2 weeks early surprise! Mom was suppose to go Cambodia on the 1st of Feb and she had to forfeit her ticket to go to sby instead. Luckily, it was the 3rd day of CNY cos Sindy is not suppose to have a bb in the chicken year. Suppose to be bad for her or something.

{BB Justin & proud Mom!}

So on the day that I was supposed to go to Indo, I received a call from Mom waking me up from my beauty sleep. Mom: Me, help me get a ticket to surabaya online NOW! Me (rather sleepily) : For when? Mom: For today. Me: Who wanna go to sby today? Mom: Me! Ce Be give birth already this morning. Me (remarkably awake now): HAH? So fast? Suppose to be 14th mah?
So I got to be there for the birth of BB Justin after all. :)

{Niama feeding bb Justin!}

{BB Justin & his lovey Aunt!}

Check out the new hairstyle. Did it in Indo for 1.5 million rupiah (abt 300 SGD) In singapore, it would probably cost up to $400.

{Just a nice picture! Someone commented I look happier than SB....heehee!}

{Happy Family! Doesn't Justin look like his DAD?}

{Practising to be parents but I think BB Justin thinks we are not ready.....he looks very uncomfortable}

PS: Dad has not seen his grandson yet!
