Dear Lord

Dear Lord,

Thank you Father that all wedding plans are going smoothly. Forgive me, O Lord, for ever doubting that you can make everything beautiful and wonderful.

Your Wayward Child

More Photoshop

Did 3 more layouts today! Still exploring the many different functions of Photoshop. I wish it was more user-friendly. It is a very powerful software and I can't wait to see what else I can do with it. :-)

Photoshop

Back from Indonesia! Took some supposedly outdoor wedding photo which turned out to be mostly indoor because of the heavy rain.

I seem to encounter bad weather each time I want to take wedding pictures. After coming back though, I decided to play around with my Adobe Photoshop. Here is what I did.

I know, I know, totally amateurish! Photoshop is a really hard software to master........

Anyways, the above is one of my favorite because of the way the photographer transformed the really ugly and olden curtains. Not meaning to insult my granduncles who owns them of course. And I am so lucky to have nice granduncles who owns big villa that allows me to take pictures there. Thank you, muiyiung and muiringma. Their villa is really big and beautiful. Although it is more than 10 years old, the place is absolutely very well maintained with renovations being done all the time. Also, they rent out the place so those of whom would like a relaxing time can go there. Thanks to my photographer, Kuo Sen from Goodman Productions. Sorry for doubting your ever skills.

Another amateurish try. I dunno how to get rid of the obvious lines between the photos.

Cooking!

It was Girl's Night Out on Friday! Yeah, me and the girls have not met up and catch up for the longest time. I must be getting old as I actually felt sleepy at 9 pm.....can you imagine? It was still so early. Anyways, decided to bring the girls to Curry Favor at Stamford House, since nobody wanted to suggest a place and I thought that Curry Favor had a good ambience.

Anyways, we proceeded to Chjimes after dinner to get a post dinner drink at some spanish bar. They had a live band which started at about 10 pm and the female lead singer can really sing.

Some pictures of us that night! Love digital cameras to bits cos you can carry it everywhere you go and take as many pictures as you like.

{Jenny & Adeline. Jenny permed her hair for Chinese New Year!}

{Huiling & Jenny! Looking good girls!}

{Adeline & Me!}

I had an average hair day that day and I even put on make up. Hee Hee! Had to practise after paying so much for the class.

We decided to do some cooking over the weekend since my parents are not around. Anyways, I decide to cook Lasagna (cos i had a craving for some) on Saturday with Toscana Soup and Italian Salad. So, we had a totally Italian meal. Of course, I cheated and used ready made sauce as I thought it was totally not worth the time and effort to make it from scratch. So, here it is!

Building the lasagna!

{Complete with Cheese Toppings}

{Golden brown and out of the oven}

Must admit that it tasted pretty good and it tasted much much better than the last one I made. Reason being, that I made sure the lasagna was cooked thoroughly before putting it in the oven.

Anyways, SY made Peppercorn Steak with grilled vegetables, 3 Cheese Rissotto and Creme Brulee (Yummy, love Creme Brulee). Actually, I made the rissotto.....she just measured the ingredients. So, here it is.

{Look at the generous side dishes.....hehehe!}

{Proof of the medium cooked tender filllet mignon. Yummy!}

SY says that Creme Brulee requires an acquired taste and that is probably true. I never thought much about Creme Brulee until my ex-boyfriend introduced me to it. It is his favorite dessert and he was actually the one who sparked me to learn how to make Creme Brulee......its french and not italian, by the way.

It was dearest RH's 32nd birthday last Tuesday! Really really run out of ideas of what to do for his birthday so decided on a romantic dinner at Vis-a-vis, this French restaurant in Chun Tin Road but Mr. Scrooge complains that it is too expensive so we settled for Margarita's Restaurant at East Coast Road. We have wanted to try that restaurant for so long anyways.

It was a good experience. The restaurant was quite quiet for a Monday night and the food was good albeit on the expensive side.

I bought RH's cake from The Pattisier at Mohammad Sultan Road. They have a branch at Ann Siang Road and theyhave just the LOVELIEST cakes in Singapore. If only, I am able to own a cake shop like that in future. URGH! I love all things pretty and beautiful.

Anyways, they ran out of cakes that day and luckily for me, the chef who was suppose to be off duty happened to be still in the shop and he had a single undecorated choco cheesecake. The nice chef offered to decorate that cake for me. THANKS MUCH!!!!!! Muah Muah! I would hate to celebrate RH's birthday without a cake. Anyways, that is a lesson learnt. Please do order your cake beforehand.

{RH & his Birthday Cake!}

{RH holding out the Appetiser}

{RH & pretty GF!}

Our appetiser! Its a giant green chilli, sliced and stuffed with cheese, deep fried and topped with a tomato broth. Really good, btw.

{3 Big Candles & 2 Small ones!}

Speaking of RH, I was half annoyed and half disappointed at him the other day. He actually signed up for a Mandarin Class that happens to fall on the same day as our Alpha Class which we are helping out as Facilitators. Alpha Class is this basic Christianity Class in church.

I was annoyed because the whole reason I was in this Ministry was to accompany him and encourage him to minister in church. Also, he promised me that he was gonna grow in his Spiritual Life. Urgh, man and their short memory. And when I asked him about it, he actually said,

"Why didn't you remind me? "

As if it is my fault that he forgot! Anyways, I was feeling a bit bad for him cos I know how important the Mandarin class was to his business and I was the one who actually urged him to sign up for one but not one which falls on the same day as Alpha.

So, I told him to pray about it and our WONDERFUL and FAITHFUL Lord came through for him. He asked his instructor whether they were able to change the class to another day, instructor said only if the whole class agrees and guess what? The whole class agrees to change day. Amazing!

By the way, I bought him a Bible for his Birthday cos he always says he has one but I have never seen it before so decided to get him a nice, small and pretty Bible to carry around and if he does not use it, I will. Gonna get him a 2nd birthday gift, a massage voucher!

LF's sisters were here whole of last week. They came here to see doctor, shop, cut hair, the usual stuff you come to Singapore for. Anyways, we had fun entertaining them. Went to a Korean BBQ Restaurant that I have never been to. I suppose (cos I have never been to Korea and thus have not tasted the real thing!) it is authentic cos it was frequented by Koreans. The BBQ was great. Should really give it a try! But be prepared for the astronomical prices.

Guess what these were????? My guess was that they were fats used to oil the bbq plate!

Actually, they are expandable towellets! Yep, they expand when placed in water. Kinda cute.....looks like marshmellows or something. The restaurant was quite stingy with it too but its understandable cos they cost 50 cents each.

{Hmm, the MEAT! Yummy!}

{Raw Beef anyone? Its actually quite delicious!}

{LF's Sisters! Guys, please do not ask me for their numbers.}

{Look at the amount of food on our table! I was really really full.}

{Hello, this is a restaurant, not your own home.}

**********

Then the next day, we actually had home made BBQ. Argh, luckily, my immune system was doing well or I would have surely had a bad case of sore throat.

{Handmade Mini Doughnuts by CT & TT. They are really wonderful}

{CT also made some sambal kangkong!}

She basically marinated everything too. Bless her heart!

{Our HAPPY cooks!}

{Our HAPPY Food! If food could actually have feelings, I am sure that the food is happy}

{Hehehe, can't resisit a picture of my cute nephew......}

After Dinner, totally full to the throat, nothing to do, BORED! So, this is what pretty girls do after dinner.

{By the way, that feet protruding from the table is mine.....hehehe! :P}

There was more BBQ going on with my Bible Study Group. We ordered from BBQ Wholesale this time round. They were very professional and polite. Our food came vacuum packed and marinated with full flavours. They also had cooked food like Fried Vermicelli and all but I suggest you stick to their raw food.

{Look at the amount of food we have}

{Relaxing while we wait for the Food from our cooking team}

{Our wonderful cooking Team! Praise God for them!}

Our Hostess, DC, came up with a fabulous idea of cutting up some bananas, add marshmellows, chocolates, wrap them all up in aluminium foil and place them on the grill. What resulted was a fabulous sticky, gooey, absolutely delicious dessert.

{The lovely ladies!}

We went to the last Asian Aerospace Show in Singapore on Sunday! Was literally dragged there by RH. I did not wanna go and see a bunch of aeroplanes under tha HOT sun. Sun is no good for the soon to be pretty bride (ME). Anyways, I ended up going to accompany my dear Lao Gong and also cos Dad had 2 extra tickets. It was gonna be the LAST show!

Had to get a shot of an aeroplane. It is the LAST Aerospace show in Singapore unless they change their mind next year and have another "LAST" Asian Aerospace Show.

RH in his stupid Japanese Hat. Makes him look like a Jap Traitor with the army helicopter behind him. :P

{Look at the old "little boy".........}

MOST HORRIBLE DAY!!!!!

Hello! I am not gonna apologise for not posting for a long time. As you can see from my title, really bad day for me so give me a break.

Not only have I been busy(i know its a lame excuse but its true), but today is just totally against me.

It started out this morning when I was informed by my housekeeper that the chauffeur took the lexus to for servicing which means that I am left with no car when I have a full schedule of going places. Anyways, it turns out to be a good thing (as you can see later.)

So, I had to take the Toyota Previa (the huge and new car.) I was reluctant of course because of its size and because its new and if anything happens to it, Dad is gonna kill me.

Then, I had to deal with the lousy Microsoft 95 PC. Before I digress, I shall elaborate on that later. Then I had to go toilet and find out that my Auntie is here and I forgot to bring my necessities. This prompts me to go to the nearest NTUC to purchase necessities of course.

On the way to the NTUC, a motorbike had to come behind me and knock my car. He was injured pretty badly while my car only suffered scratches and dents on the rear bumper. However, I was not irritated by that but by the fact that through no fault of mine whatsoever, I had to waste time attending to police reports and such. Therefore, I even had to cancel my well-derserved facial and all.

The only thing that made me really guilty was the fact that the other party was hurt badly and even needed to be admitted to the hospital. So, I am very very lucky, imagine if I had driven the lexus, Dad would be even more mad at me.

Now, I still need to handle the insurance stuff and hopefully that would be less painful. Anyways, going back to the computer thing. Yikes! I have been trying to connect my antique Microsoft 95 computer to the company server. WHY? Because today, we have a new staff joining us and since I am the official HR cum IT person, I had to get him a computer. However, before that, SB, my previous IT person and also sister told me to try and use the old antique computers hiding out in my computer server room.

Turns out that the THING is really really old. I needed to download a software from the internet to install for the Microsoft 95 OS to be compatible to my brand new 2003 server. However, the OLD computer could not download big files (too slow), does not have cd-rom drive and the biggest floppy disk we have can only save 1.44MB of stuff. URGH.....

So, in the end, I have decided to get a new Dell computer for the new employee. Hehehe!
