Hehehe! Yep, my older sister, SB, is gonna have a bb boy soon........so lucky to get boy! Hah, you must think that I am a sexist with my previous statement. But then it is our society that makes me like that. Imagine not having a boy for the first born in rural Surabaya. You are so gonna get ostracized.
Anyways, we all thought that she was gonna have a girl as her first born because my cousin, FS, calculated using the ever "absolutely accurate" gender calendar to calculate the gender of my sister's kid based on her age and month she conceived. This year was suppose to be really "not good" for her because she had a lot of female months so probability of getting girls rae much higher. Afther this inaccuracy, I think I am gonna give up calculating the gender of my first kid.
Mom has been so busy buying stuff for her unborn grandchild who is either gonna be named Justin or Nicholas.....I personally think that one sounds like an Ah beng and the other sounds like a dracula.....(remember Interview with a Vampire). Oh well, it is SB's son and she does have a right to name her first kid any name she likes even though it might sound awful.
Imagine my parents being called Niama and Niaung (means external grandma and grandpa in Hokchia) by some little kid although that technically would not be happening until a year or two later when the bb actually learns how to speak. It is weird to imagine that though. Its the same when SB first got engaged and there was an "extra" person calling my parents ma and pa......ewwww! Of course, my parents are ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED. I was on the phone with SB last night.
SB: "Mom is buying so many things for the baby. Dunno who is having the baby, me or her!"
Me: "Well, it is her first grandkid, just let her be excited lor."
