Finished LO

{Japan Trip}

{I Love your Smiles}

I have finished my latest LO, saved for the journalling stamps. Found out from a local scrapbooking forum that it is best to use a different type of ink to stamp on photos.....Gonna go buy the inks this weekend.

Also, going to Taka Baby Fair to take a look at baby items. Hopefully got lotsa stuff to buy. Here are also some pics of the baby clothes that I bought during Fox Baby Sale. Soooo cute but I heard from FS that it gets out of shape pretty fast. Probably going to get some pigeon clothes $10 for 3 pieces.

Alcoholics Anonymous Class

Nothing to blog about so I am attaching a half done scrap from my scrapbook class yesterday.

I am so inspired by all the new products in the market that I am gonna attempt to make my own pregnancy journal. Am making one LO for my favorite nephews: ZH and NH......

Anyways, I met an NTUC agent just now when I went to buy lunch and the persistent lady actually followed me for about 100 meters before she gave up. I kept telling her that I am not interested. Anyways, she started asking me about my pregnancy. She asked me whether my baby is due soon cos my tummy is so big. URGH!!!!

Ok ok, I have a big tummy and I gained 6kg and I am shy of 5 mths preg by a week. Well, at least my face, arms and legs dun look fat. Thank goodness. Just hope that the baby is not too big. Last time we checked, he was normal range. :-)

Public Holiday tomorrow and we are gonna have two days of feasting: Steamboat then Barbeque. Hurray! I told SY, my sis that we should have like mini Singapore flags on toothpicks to get into the National Day celebration. She just said: "Can you stop being so patriotic!" *Sigh*

Alphalicious!!!!!

Created a scrapbook for Alpha after looking at other people scrapping about their pets.....Ain't he just adorable?

It is going to be the last day of Chinese New Year this Sunday and there will be tons of cooking again. I am still reading my Bible in case anyone thinks otherwise. Still determined to finish reading the Bible this year. I hope that I have enough stamina till the end of the year.

I gotta start baking again too. Maybe I will bake this weekend, making closed Pineapple Tarts for RH to bring to Sydney.

Tea Time Delights

SY and me did some more cooking and baking this weekend.....parents are in Indonesia, RH in Sydney. There was just no one to share the food.

Anyways, this is what we made:

SY made mini doughnuts. Anything made half its size never fails to make it look more appetizing.

I made failed A1 curry puff. Hahaha!

In my defense though, it really is not easy to make the A1 curry puffs. You see A1 employees demonstrating the making of curry puffs in Takashimaya? Well, all I can say is that they had loads of practise and dat is what I am gonna do, practise!

I think I might have to tweak the recipe a little, try to roll out better circular dough and all. hahaha! If you do not succeed at first, try again!

I am so happy to have completed my recipe file. Yeah, thanks to Mod Podge that has arrived from US. I think I will add some embellishments cos it does look kinda bald at the moment. Maybe, will also take some pictures of the contents of the recipe book. I love the idea of keeping my recipes in DVD files:

  1. It is small enough to carry around and for the magnet to hold it if you wanna put it on the fridge
  2. It is big enough to read and contain recipes
  3. Recipes can be placed in plastic DVD sleeves so u dun have to worry about egg and flour getting onto your recipes
  4. It is cheap
  5. You can add, re-arrange and take out recipes easily because of the ring binder.

I suggest that you try to make your own recipe file.

First LO for Korea

{Korea LO}

Finished this LO last nite. How come I can't be as creative as those scrappers I see? Anyways, gonna keep trying. Have to pick up papers at MWL next Monday to work on my calendar. I can

only go on Mondays because they have double stamps on that day only. I guess I should work on my newphew, JP's LO for now. I still do not have any ideas on that.

Saw Xiaxue's program on Channel 5 last nite....... she is funny! But not as fluent in her way of speaking as Ross is. Although it is probably because Ross is a DJ......

Scrapbooking

Time to talk about this topic now. Its painting the town red with the recent opening of "Made with Love", a store selling scrapbook materials and tools.

Yup, although there have been a few stores around but I really think that this one located in Singapura Plaza is the one that has caused it to gained recognition. Its really good though cos I have been so tempted many times in USA to do it but alas I am not creative enough and there are just not enough resources in Singapore.

BTW, the price in USA for the tools and such are sooo much cheaper. If you can get it online, try to do it. For me, I asked my sisters who are studying in USA to purchase for me.

Die! So many hobbies and now got new one some more. I have spent so much on the toold already and am proceedign cautiously in terms of buying tools cos I am very well known for my 3 min interest in new hobbies. Look at my poor guinea pig. I am still taking care of it lah, just rarely play with it liao. Very mean though!

Hmm, so many pictures to put down in scrapbooks but alas, the ideas are slow in coming. I think the most important toool for scrapbooking is a printer.

IS say : "You got one at home mah"

Me: "Ya but not colored plus cannot print photo paper"

IS: "Then use office one lor"

Me: "Cannot lah, so unprofessional, I only have two printers in the office and they are both black and white."

Note: by the way, IS stands for Imaginary Someone So, right now, I really can't wait for the new apartment to be ready so that I can buy my own personal all in one printer.

IS: "Buy now lah. Why must wait till new apt is ready?"

Me: "Cannot, you know how many people live in my house! If I buy now, they will all use and spoil it and I can't bring it over then!"

IS: "Put in your room lah."

Me: "Cannot, my room so cramped liao, where you want me to stash my printer, underneath my pillow????"

So you see my dilenma. Anyways, recently, my friend, JT (who just recently got into scrapbooking too), asked me whether I wanna attend a free vintage scrapbooking class at MWL. But nothing comes free and I need to buy a vintage scrapbook package before I can get the "free" class. And the package cost $90 plus!!!!! REALLY!

So, I figured that I would rather go to Laine's Papeterie and join the vintage class for a fee of $50 plus. I figured it is still cheaper. Tell you when I have attended.
