My Going Out Getup

{Navy Blue Hat}

RH and I went to Singtel @ Comcentre on Saturday to return a phone. We brought C out as we were planning to go church straight after. It was a sunny and windy day and so here is C, with a hat to cover his bald head. Hahaha. He looks so absolutely adorable in a fisherman's hat from his Aunt Yen.

Sleepless Nights

My 2 boys (aka HB and C) are noisy sleepers. Yes, they make all sorts of noises when they are sleeping. I have not been able to sleep very well lately and naturally, these night time beepers (who sleeps with me) are not helping me to drift off to zzz land.

Thank goodness RH is not a chronic snorer or else I would probably have filed for divorce within the first week of our marriage. Its just that he loves to grind his teeth when he sleeps. Recently (in the past 6 mths), it has been getting louder and more frequent. Much so that I every morning when I wake up, I would expect to see his teeth all filed down to just 1 cm above his gum but of course that nevers happens. Besides the irritating grinding, RH is a tosser. Yes, he tosses to the right, then to the left, then he pushes away his blanket and pulls it back to cover him again and so on. Sometimes, he would push me all the way to the edge of my side of the bed. I don't mind his tossing as much as the force of his tossing. He tosses with so much strength that the whole bed vibrates and that is pretty much what keeps me awake at night. I would be drifting off to sleep and suddenly, "earthquake".

The little noisemaker, thankfully, has no teeth so he does not grind but he does have saliva and a tongue so he would make the loudest blowing, smacking and sucking noises. Sometimes, the sound is so loud that I am sure he is awake but when take a glance, the little "angel" is a mask of peaceful sleep. Then there are the dreams.....sometimes a loud gurgle, a laugh or crying when it is a nightmare. These 2 nights, I am also awoken to his gas movements.....hahaha, how can a person so small make so much noise? I really wonder.....
All in all, I guess I have three options:
1. to move to another bedroom
2. to buy ear plugs OR
3. to just get use to my two noisemakers :)

Little "Feats"

{C, sitting down}

{C, standing up. Supported, of course}

C is happiest when he is held in a sitting or standing position even though his legs are not strong enough to support himself and his neck is still not steady.

He will smile and laugh when we hold him up. When we think he is tired and tries to put him down, he will keep straightening his legs as if he still wants to stand some more. Does this signal that he is going to be an active baby? I hope not.....

C C C C z z z z

Babies are really unpredictable! This morning while C was in his bouncing chair, he actually slept all on his own. Usually, he would fuss around when he is sleepy and would only settle down to sleep if someone pats him or rocks him.
This morning was special. I was observing him while pumping away. I knew he was sleepy cos he kept yawning every 2 mins. One second, his eyes was wide open and th next moment, it was shut. He opened his eyes to peep for a few seconds and drifted off to dreamland while the maid (S) and I got ready to leave. Yes, I have been leaving C either at my parent's place or at my cousin's place while I am at work. Its more convenient to leave him at my parent's place of course since I would be having dinner there anyways but I think that he would get more stimulation at my cousin's place as she is a stay at home mom and has 2 young boys.
I had Mastitis AGAIN last night. it must have been the fenugreek. I was taking it to boost my milk supply as my milk supply went down after I had mastitis last week. I was feeling so horrid.

I think its high time to blog about the Alpha conference. Yes, there is an Alpha conference going on next week. Nicky Gumble and his colleagues are coming to town and I am looking forward to be blessed by this conference. A friend from church asked me whether I would like to help out at the conference as someone who would pray for others during altar calls and such. I would love to help but my concerns are:
1. I am not very strong in prayer and faith and to pray for others (and there might be ministers and church leaders in the group), I was scared.

2. I am still expressing breastmilk for C and I can only go 6 hours without pumping or else I am sure to get Mastitis. And if I volunteer for the job, I would kinda have to be on standby the whole day.

So, I prayed to God and this morning's daily bread was Matthew 5:13-16 about salt losing its saltiness and needs to be thrown away. I guess God wants me to go forward and if the Lord says so, who am I not to follow His call. I just hope that everything will go smoothly.

Oh ya, and for those who would like to join the conference, I think you are still able to register.

I finally bought my Nikon D80 DSLR. YES!!!! I am so gonna practise on it. Thinking of taking a a class though because there are absolutely so many controls as compared to a normal camera. I think I got it for a good deal and my sis SY is gonna share the cost.

Just in time for the new biz as well. I am a happy camper.

Zooming by......

Babies grow so fast, you just can't seem to keep track of them. I try to take regular pictures of C but its quite impossible to take every new little expression he has or new skills he has picked up. Was sorting out his pictures the other day, C looks so different now from the day he was born.

And of course, I was sooo grossly overweight during my last trimester that I actually look like a pig. Oh well!

Its been so long...

Yeah, its been awhile since I blogged. I have been so busy recently........with C and with the new business of course. So what has happened since the last time I blogged? I had another run in with Mastitis, C had his 2nd immunization jab and he is 7.2 kg now, he is able to hold his head reasonably upright now and is becoming more and more aware of his surroundings. He has also found his thumb and fingers and will suck his thumb when he is sleepy.

{My Delicious Digits}

Here is a picture of him now. We had dim sum brunch with mom yesterday.

zzzzzz

I finally slept a straight 6 hours and I feel so fresh this morning. Yes! It has been a long while since I manage to sleep so long at one go. The last time I tried it, I got Mastitis. It is hard to pump and it is hard to stop pumping. Oh why do women go through all this hardship to breastfeed their babies?

It seems so funny that I would be so grateful for 6 hours of sleep when I used to get really cranky on 8 hours. That was my pre-pregnancy days too. I had to have at least 9 hours of sleep before I actually felt more human than zombie. Hee hee.

Alas, this is my life now! Everything revolves around C. Love him to bits.

{Tummy Time}

C is able to hold his head up for quite a long while now when we put him on his tummy. Here is one of him with a hint of dimple on his left cheek. RH has been going crazy trying to take lots of pictures of C and even insisted that I take a picture of C while we were traveling in the car. When I refused, he threatened to stop driving and pull over until I take a pictuire of him. Hahaha! He says got to document all of C's life for his parents as they are not around to see C.
